I seemed to have a similar problem.

I think my problem was because I had updated my OS (RH8 -> FC3)  during that transition I got a new version of Evolution.  My old set up was using IMAP and I started using the Exchange in the FC3 setup.  In the process, my settings for the draft folder and sent folder became broken.  Once I fixed that in the Evolution Account Editor (Defaults Tab) to point to existing folders in my Exchange folders it stopped crashing.

I also find the replacement of the name object to test annoying.
