I just noticed today that when I pressed the Junk button while reading an email, thinking that this button would move the email to Trash, that it was moved to a folder called Junk. Then within that folder I could press the Not Junk button and cause the email to move back to where it was.
exactly the same behaviour with trash, by the way, but without that buttons.
What do these Junk, Not Junk buttons do, other than move emails back and forth from the folder Junk, if I have disabled all spam checking from inside of Evolution Settings?
junk filter is a virtual one. that means that all messages remain in their folders, but if you mark them as junk they will get a flag which says "this is junk". now they behave like "deleted" (but are not) and also will be shown up in the junk folder.
I have since, already figured out that the Junk / Not Junk buttons have to do with teaching the spam filter and not anything to do with Trash :).
no, trash is trash and junk is junk. :-) although i also don't get the sense of that (marking mails as junk obviously means that i do not want to read them), a bit related perhaps to http://bugzilla.ximian.com/show_bug.cgi?id=63453 cheers, andre -- mailto:ak-47 gmx net | failed! http://www.iomc.de
