Hi,
Is it possible to use other editors, like emacs or xemacs, to compose
mail in evolution? My customized emacs environment is much more
powerful than the builtin evolution editor. E.g, it has many abbrevs.
Also, defining a abbrev, or setting an option, in emacs makes it
available in all my composition environments, like writing code or
reports. Finally, emacs has some unique and powerful tools, like
dynamic expansion.
I did a web search before writing this and found a comment that the
evolution developers use emacs to develop evolution. Also, there were
several messages about a patch to incorporate vim, which was submitted
over a year ago but never incorporated.
Composing in emacs and then cutting and pasting into evolution would be
possible, but quite clumsy.
Thanks.
