procmail is the tool, that can do about anything regarding moving
stuff around on your IMAP server. :)

Iff you have Shell access to your IMAP server, but many people don't.
And of course assuming your IMAP server runs some form of *nix.

True. But you don't expect me to give similar advice regarding Windows
machines, do you? ;-)

Anyway, the OP was asking about migrating Windows PST files to a
commonly used UN*X format -- and archiving with this in mind. Thus it's
local mail (no IMAP) we're talking about.

Until tml got the Windows ports finished it's safe to assume the OP is
running Linux (or any other UN*X flavor)... ;)
