HI List,
I have received several emails which crash evolution 2.0.4 when I
try to reply to them.
The only unusual thing I can see about them is that they have a link to
a service called "HaveTheyReadItYet" at
http://www.havetheyreadityet.com
I guess it is meant to track when the recipient reads the email. This
causes no problem (although I dont know how or if it works). It only
causes a problem when I try to reply.
is this a known problem? is there a workaround?
Well, I never have seen anything like this so far. So I guess this isn't
a known issue -- but bugzilla.gnome.org does know issues better than
me. ;)
If this is reproducible please file a bug in bugzilla, and attach the
full raw message that triggers this behavior (File / Save As). Please
post the bugzilla number here.
I'd like to test this myself.
A workaround might be to not quote the entire mail when replying but a
selection only. From your description it sounds like there is some kind
of an image link that maybe triggers this. This may be a red herring,
though.
Try selecting a few words only using the mouse in the original mail --
then reply. This should include the selected text only in your reply.
