Hi.

hi...

I have dutifully been marking all my incoming spam as junk for several
days, and have also marked a couple hunderd old spam messages I keep
around for the purpose. However, Evolution does not seem to be
filtering anything!

Of course!

In the past I used a pipe to bogofilter, and found
it worked quite well after only a few days.

oh. I don't know what means "pipe bogofilter" but I notified this bug to
ubuntu developers (1) and they upstreamed it to Ximian developers after
(2).

Both of these reports describe Evolution obligatory needs spamassassin
for the normal function of the spam filter but no warning-message appear
even when pressing junk button and spamassassin is not present.

Install spamassassin and your spam filter malfunction will desappears.

I'm not sure this was your solution but its really a solution.

Thanks

you'r wellcome ;)
