[Evolution] Retrieving Evo 1.2 addressbook in Evo 2.0.2

I recently upgraded from RH-9 to Fedora Core 3.  On the old system I was
running Evolution 1.2.2 or thereabouts, and before I upgraded I
carefully backed up all my !/evolution files.  On FC-3 I now have evo
2.0.2, which I like a lot, but there seems to be no way to retrieve or
import my old data.  Am I missing something really obvious?  I tried the
import function from the file menu, but it didn't seem to know about old
versions of evolution; I retrieved my filters with the help of a quick
perl hack, and I recreated my folders one at a time by hand, but I still
haven't come up with a good way to recover my contacts.  Help please?
