Is it wise to try evolution 2.3.1?  I know the executables will be named
differently, but will I have data issues switching between 2.2.2 and
2.3.1?  What about just building 2.3.1 under GNOME 2.10.1?

2.3.x works perfectly well for me, with no problem when going from 2.2.x
to 2.3.x.
