I must admit that this is something that I would like to see in mail as
well. You can set up a filter that pipes to a command, but there is no
way to execute a specific filter on a group of messages - you can
execute all filters automatically on all messages as they come in, or
you can execute all filters on a single message (using Ctrl-Y), but you
can't execute a single filter.
to execute a single filter, i usually "label" the message as something,
then run Ctrl-Y , which runs my filter set, the first one of which
includes,
* If label = "something" then do something_else and stop
I used to do it to get spamassassin to learn messages until evo2, now i
just use it to pipe stuff via the command line to do stuff like "bounce"
a message back (pretending i never received it :-) etc...
