it only changes the line endings if the part is declared to be a text part. obviously if it is a text part, then the line endings are MEANT to be changed to the canonical form for the platform. Jeff On Fri, 2004-11-19 at 08:24 -0600, Alex S Moore wrote:
Is there a particular reason why saving an attachment would rewrite the contents of an attachment? For example, yesterday I had a email with a text file for DOS, i.e., with CR/LF at the end of each row. Evolution saved the data with LF. I realize that I can get the CR/LF back, but I do not understand this. It took me a few minutes to realize what had happened after I saw that the file would not process in a Windows program. I saved the file from SylpheedClaws and it saved the attachment as it was sent to me. And, of course, unix2dos fixes it as well. Some of my customers are still using Windows, so I would really like for Evolution to save attachments without changing the contents Thanks, Alex _______________________________________________ evolution maillist - evolution lists ximian com http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution
