Does evo perhaps have some sort of fixed-length buffer involved when
searching message bodies?

I'm finding that message body searches work nicely on small folders, but
almost always:

1) Fail to produce any useful results
2) Cause evo to need to reconnect to the imap server

Can you say what you mean by "large"?

Debian Sid
courier-imap 3.0.8-3
evolution 2.0.2-3
evolution-data-server 1.0.2-3

I just loaded the Evolution ML archive (39,461 mails), and "Body
contains" searches work fine.
