FWIW ... again, this is probably easier to do than it used to be (all

depending on your definition of easy. Not all the internal api's
needed are available, but at least it is all internal to the mailer,
so the task isn't that hard, and the api's can be added.

A key-combo like Tab/Shift-Tab that toggled you *directly* between
the folder list and the email list would be super handy in this

There's unfortunately no way to jump across folders, but there are

to find on my US keyboard (and comma to go to the previous unread msg).
I guess Ctrl-. and Ctrl-, are also supposed to work.

Thanks for your help. Is there any possibility (is it a development
issue?) to implement this "across-folders" feature with some handier
shortcut in the next versions of Evolution?

It's been requested many times. I think this is the oldest and best
place to add your comments (or add yourself to the CC: field so you will
get notified of any activity):

Meanwhile, I doubt this feature is going to make it into 2.0 though I
suppose it will eventually, especially if someone contributes the code.

For someone handling a lot of emails, it is really a pain in the ass to
have to use the mouse to switch to another folder...
