Amp, as you are referring to my post on the "evolution weather" thread:
Yes, sure it is just like I stated. ;)


There where several reasons for this decision. Although I don't recall
all of them, these are likely among them:

- It does not fit well to the new UI. A major redesign would be
necessary. A problem, as this code seems to be unmaintained.
- The current UI is bad anyways, cause it is unflexible as a rock.
Issues like user defined sorting and news items per RSS feed come to
mind, as well as non-flowing layout.
- There are better RSS Aggregators out there.

This does not mean, a Summary-like Component cannot be done. In fact,
IIRC there were some quick thoughts about a better solution inside of
Evolution. But this will not happen for Evolution 2.0.


Personally I do think, a Summary page would be great -- although I never
used it. A major reason for me not using the current Summary page is the
mentioned bad design and the unflexibility. Maybe this would be fun
hacking...
