Not sure what to suggest. I guess, if you can get a good backtrace when
it hangs (run it in gdb, when it hangs, hit ctrl-c and then run 'thread
apply all bt', if you get a lot of ????'s, it isn't a good
backtrace ...), then submit a bug. Otherwise try updating to 1.5.x
before reporting a bug.
FWIW i develop 1.5.x on 2.6.x (i..e the latest), and dont have such
issues. But my 1.4.x environment is broken enough it would take a major
issue for me to try and ressurect it from its slumber.

Hello,
I have installed a 2.6.4 kernel (with wolk2.0 patch).
And now Evo 1.4.5 always hangs on first run after boot-up. The splash
window appears, all the four icons in it light up one after another,
then it freezes. The CPU load falls to zero after several seconds.
I have to do "evolution --force-shutdown) - the window disappears. Then
I start evolution again and it works.
Is this something already known, with perhaps a way to resolve this? Or
should I file a bug?
Yours, Mikhail Ramendik
