Hmm, i bet there's a bug report open on this too ... we should either
remove the 'colour' option, or allow you to set it to anything (and
clear it) in the ui.
Personally, the idea of a few set colours via labels (that you can
search on etc) seems to be more useful though.

ahhmmm... thanks. this was also what i was expecting, and i couldn't saw
that because i was testing with messages that already went through "give
me a colour!"-filters.
now i see... so colour is more dominant than the label, and i shouldn't
give emails a "turn me black!"-filter and then wonder why labelling does
not work. :-)

Correct, I encountered the same problem before and since there's no way
of removing the colour of a message I had to manually edit the
mbox-files. You can read about this somewhere in the archives...
