I've installed Red Carpet on my SuSE 9.0, KDE 3.1 system (I had to set
up the menu item to run as root - didn't do it by default, BTW).
I did this so that I can get Evo 1.5 to try out - I'm interested in
networked calendaring (for home), and access to GroupWise (at work). I
have a weird issue with Red Carpet - I can't adjust the font size, so
some of the menus are incorrectly displayed (the fonts are too large).
I've run gnome-font-properties (as root) and set the fonts to the size I
want, but it has no effect on the Red Carpet menus. I have also logged
on as root using Gnome, and it looks fine there, although the font
settings were slightly different than those I set when calling the font
utility via a root terminal session.
I'm bemused, as, following some of the great help on this list, I've
successfully used gnome-font-properties under my own ID for adjusting
Evo's fonts.
Can anyone shed any light on what's going on?
Thanks,
Des
