Re: [Evolution] evolution slowing down

i'm using pop3. i clean out my inbox regularly so it currently only has
56 messages in it. i probably get 200-300 messages a day (including
spam). i am on a cable modem and typically have very good speeds.

i have a backup folder that is set up through procmail (which delivers
all my local mail to /var/spool/mail/user). here's a sample of contents
of one of the folders (this is Inbox):

-rwxrwxrwx 1 jlwallen jlwallen 103 Mar 9 20:22 folder-metadata.xml
-rw------- 1 jlwallen jlwallen 95 Jul 26 14:35 local-metadata.xml
-rw------- 1 jlwallen jlwallen 1027818 Jul 26 15:22 mbox
-rw------- 1 jlwallen jlwallen 13737 Jul 26 15:22 mbox.ev-summary
-rw------- 1 jlwallen jlwallen 92160 Jul 26 15:18 mbox.ibex.index
-rw------- 1 jlwallen jlwallen 75792 Jul 26 15:18
mbox.ibex.index.data

does that help any?

new to the list (referred to by the ximian users list).

i'm using evolution 1.4.5 on Fedora Core 1. evolution has started
drastically slowing down on me. anytime it receives mail, deletes mail,
or moves mail it takes forever in the 'storing folder' process. can
anyone shed any light on this issue?

thank you so much.
