No, John :
$ kdesktop --version gives me :
Qt: 3.1.2
KDE: 3.1.3
KDesktop: v1.9.8
And as far as I know Evolution rely upon Gnome's librairies, not KDE's
BTW, I have gnome-libs-1.4.2-7mdk installed.
Thank you for your answer,
Didier

I'm using a somewhat "stock" installation of Mandrake 9.2 on my desktop and on my laptop. Evolution works
fine on both. Could it be a problem with kde 3.2 beta 1? (I'm using kde 3.1).

I've a Mandrake 9.2 distribution and installed evolution-1.4.4-8mdk rpm.
Sometimes, I'd say randomly (maybe 1 out of 5 or 10 tries, but sometimes
2 or even three times in a row) at startup evolution crashes,
complaining about a segmentation fault -- with no crash problem once
loaded and running, though.
Any explanation or solution will be welcome.
