Re: [Evolution] Message Display Problem

My problem turn out to be the imap server I was using (bincimap).

Fixing that or backing to an earlier release fix mind. :)

John,

Surprisingly, It's the other way round! I was using the received
column all along, which is the one which shows the ?. I don't know
how that turned out to be the case, but I didn't know there was both
date and received available. I'd assumed that date just referred to
received. Now, when I have both, and sort by date, it is fine, with
the messages affected still showing ? in the received column.

At least I have a workaround!

Thanks,

Paul

You might try adding a "Received" column and then sort by time
received, which should be accurate even if the Date column isn't.

To do this, right click on any of the column bars ("From" for
example) and select "Add a Column".

Hi,

I've had a similar problem for months. In my case, only the date
field is affected (shows a ?). It only happens to incoming mails
sent from evolution - even ones I cc myself on, which come from
within our company domain (cadence.com). It may be even more
localised to our office's domain or exchange server - I don't know
how to find out.

All mails go through our exchange server as connector clients. I
don't know if IMAP connections are similarly affected.

As I sort by date, this is a real nuisance.

All mail in the last two days? Does that happen to be only web.de mail?

I have been a long time user of evolution and like it very much.

But in the last 2 days I have a strange problem...

Looking at the INBOX the From, Subject are blank and the date field
shows only a ? mark...

All email recieved earlier is fine. What ever would be causing this?
And how would I fix it?
