Hello the list

I use the Evolution mail client on a Debian PC. I installed GPG and I
would like to sign my e-mails.

But when I sign them, the GPG signature is embedded in a .asc file
rather than in the header/footer of the e-mail like this :

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-----
Version: PGP 8.1

iQEVAwUBQb7feuwxxD18aHUpAQFzTwf9FaVjG/pOfNL5IUW2O1RnRKO6DWTNoS32

XPkI4rR451N1s0rNmqoZYj4lu+zP4w8vbnYj/Ck1jvtKEs2cH8qHRKmJtjJJrpAc
jG6sKOzf6NnjI3PHIIkdhOeAt3OWFtw87y/xCtSUjhjsMkRHN/x7PLh2hfG08Aqp
prOtk3riatCuB0Pa+ElAFGU9qI/KnmboU9JNh70jbnz0GNis1hmydg==
=aPvL
-----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

And I search a way to verify the signatures like above with Evolution.

Thank you in advance for your help

Interesting. I'm Running Evo 2.0.3 on Sid (and have been since the
1.0 days), and GPG signing works perfectly for me.

This email is signed, so you should see an icon and yellow band
at the bottom, with the wording, "Valid signature, cannot verify
sender".

I see "Invalid signature" on your message.

What happens if you do this from an xterm:
$ gpg --list-keys 8834C06B

# gpg --list-keys 8834C06B
gpg: error reading key: public key not found

Try this:
$ gpg --keyserver hkp://pgp.mit.edu --list-keys 8834C06B

http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x8834C06B
http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?search=ron l johnson cox net&op=vindex

# gpg --keyserver hkp://pgp.mit.edu --list-keys 8834C06B
gpg: error reading key: public key not found

Both URLs resolve OK.
