[Evolution] Syncing hebrew palm pilot records with Evolution

I am using Evolution 2.02
My default locale is en_US.UTF-8
When I try syncing with palm pilot I get unreadable characters for every
hebrew character.
I think the palm is using Windows-1255 encoding while Evolution is using
UTF-8.
Is there any way to convert encoding while syncing with the palm?
