Re: [Evolution] IMAP and trash

Well shucks, Ron. Your message got me excited so I finally decided
there was reason enough to try the Evolution development version... but
my trash is going into the old vFolder, like it always does. My
INBOX/Trash folder is only used by my webmail and other clients.
Sigh.
I first looked for settings in Tools->Settings for my main account, but
no luck. Then I went into the vFolder editor, saw a Trash folder listed
there, and deleted that. But whatever I deleted, it's not the damned
Trash vFolder that's being used by Evolution.

Oh well, the new Evo looks pretty good. Haven't seen any exciting new
features yet but I'm looking forward to figuring them out.
View->Message Display->Load Images doesn't work, though.  I'd better
check bugzilla.

Hallelujah! It sounds like they've given us a real Trash folder in
1.5.x. I'm delighted to hear it, and look forward to trying it, because
I hate the way it works in 1.4.x. I would hope, though, for the sake of
making everyone happy, that it's just an option in account setup, like
Draft and Sent folders are in earlier versions.

Ron, maybe you can select the Evolution "Trash" folder (really just a
vFolder) as the default destination for your deleted messages.

Hi,

With IMAP, in the 1.4 series, deleting an email would send "haggis
imap"/Trash (which has a trash can icon next to it), where I could
do Action->"Empty Trash" to get rid of it.

Now, deleted emails go to "haggis imap"/INBOX/Trash, which I have to
then explicitly Delete, which sends them to "haggis imap"/Trash,
where Action->"Empty Trash" works as normal.

Is this extra step by design, or a bug?

TIA
