Re: [Evolution] IMAP hangs drive me nuts ...

just wanted to add a "me too"...  I'm using courier-imapd running on
localhost, and FREQUENTLY experience hangs that I've never seen from evo
before.  Seems that there's 3 varieties of this....

1) hang on sending e-mail...  I'm using qmail as my local MTA, and
often, evolution (1.4.5 from ximian) doesn't "understand" that the send
was successful, which then aggravates other IMAP hangs.  I have to
delete the e-mail from the Outbox when this happens, else "send/receive"
sends the e-mail as many times as I click "send/receive" (each time
evolution doesn't understand that the send was successful).

2) hang in checking local IMAP server... I click "send/receive" and it
takes a very long time to come back.

3) hang in switching folders....  (this also happens when deleting an
e-mail (I have hide deleted messages checked)).  I see "retrieving
message xxxx...." in the status bar, which takes a horribly long time to
go away, and oft times doesn't at all.  Sometimes, I see "storing
INBOX", which also takes a very long time to go away.  Frequently, I
have to kill evolution off and run it again.

What's odd and frustrating about this is that if I have
$CAMEL_VERBOSE_DEBUG set, I don't see these hangs (as I can recall
anyway).  Maybe it's timing issues that don't happen if evo is printing
out debug statements??
