Hi,
Sorry I think there is a problem with evolution communicating with the
imap server. I have hide deleted messages selected so when I delete them
they should disappear from the message display.
The problem really is when the INBOX folder shows new messages, but the
message displayer doesn't show them. Then I run into the delete problem
as described.
I thought I saw a problem like this logged on 1.4.3.....
Sorry typo i meant 1.2.2 :-) In which it all worked fine
Cheers
Richard

View / Hide Deleted Messages
FYI, the long answer:
Deleting a mail does not instantly erase the mail, but mark it for
deletion (just like most other mailers do it, too). You have the option
of still seeing these "deleted" mails or not.
The Trash actually only is a vFolder (virtual Folder) which lists all
mails marked for deletion.
To permanently erase the "deleted" (actually marked for deletion) mails
from disk, use Actions / Expunge (current folder) or Actions / Empty
Trash (all folders). You can setup Evolution to Empty Trash on Exit, so
you will not have to manually empty the trash.
All of the above worked perfectly when using v1.4.2. Any ideas?
Deleting hasn't changed in 1.4.x versions (even since 1.2.x IIRC).
btw: There is no such thing as the 1.4.2 version... ;-)
