select 'hide deleted messages' in the View menu.
this is entirely my point, I don't wish to hide the messages, I wish to
remove them. I am well aware that the evolution manual states this as
the solution but it doesn't allow for the fact that other program , such
as mailbox monitors, perceive that the email is still there. I want it
moved to the Trash folder if it is deleted -> not moved and a copy left
hidden in the same folder.
