It is possible....

For instance, I added the SCO Linux fight feed from Computerworld by adding the URL :-

http://www.computerworld.com/news/xml/coverage/0,5451,2046,00.xml

To the "add new feed" stuff in the summary preferences in the newer (1.4.x) versions.
