[Evolution] Hiding deleted mail

When I drag a message from my main folder into another one, it becomes
deleted in my main folder: displays with a line through it.

Some of the docs implied there was an option to hide the display of
deleted messages, but I can't find it (Evolution 1.2.4).  Is it there?

Really what I'd like is just to move the message and have it gone
entirely, instead of needing to purge my main folder periodically.  Any
way to do that?
