Is there a way to archive all the messages in a regular folder at one
time, without having to save each message individually. I can not see
any reference to this in the docs or FAQ's.
What type of 'messages', i.e. in what format are they stored?
I assume, you mean your local mail folders:
To save all your mail, you only need to save the 'mbox' file. For Local
Folders they are stored under your ~/evolution/local/ directory. Almost
any mailer should be able to at least import these standard mbox files.
If you wanna backup your mail folders, you should at least save the
corresponding *.xml files to make the restore easier. And you will
likely want to preserve the directory structure...
