[Evolution] changed incoming server-name but evo still askes for the password

I changed incoming server-name (imap) but evo still asks for the password for the old server.

what can I do to get rid of this annoying popup? 

seems to me that evolution is not cleaning up it's
xml-configuration-database correctly 
- but I don't want to mess around with it unless someone says it's a good idea.
