Re: [Evolution] 1.3.2 Update not happy...

Machine: MDK 9.1rc2 Cooker / 2/4/20-11mdk / 768mb RAM

You know, that's an obsolete beta release, do you? ;-)

Yeppers - so I upgraded to 1.3.3 last night - but, well, ain't much
different story today...(sigh)

Hey, that quote does not mention any Evolution version. MDK 9.1rc2 is
the obsolete beta version, as the final release of MDK 9.1 is out for
weeks -- even boxed versions were shipped... ;-)

2.) Can't seem to move items from one folder to another - Evo crashes
immediately

That's a gtk+-2.2 bug.
http://bugzilla.ximian.com/show_bug.cgi?id=42723

Ya reckon maybe upgrading GTK+2.2? Or really just downgrade?

As Jeff mentioned, it is fixed in CVS. So if you wanna solve that by
upgrading, you likely will have to use the devel version from CVS...

Downgrading (of gtk+) does not seem to be an option, as a lot of apps
will depend on the 2.2 version. Mandrake 9.1 ships with Gnome Desktop
2.2...

If you cannot live without that feature, you will have to wait until
Evolution 1.4 is out.

Slow performance is what I observe with Evo 1.3.3.ximian, too. Not
deathly slow, but I really hope that is due to the devel release.

Ah well, we know what dev code's like...(keeping my fingers crossed)

Yeah, I really hope that is due to the debug code...

Well, use Evo 1.2.4 then...

...I might have to...(bigger sigh)

I currently use Evo 1.3.3 -- although I found some bugs (and filed most
of them already) I do not see anything, that forces me to use 1.2.4
instead. At least, it seems very stable even in this beta version. As
long as I do not drag-n-drop messages, that is... ;-)
