Could't you just append the message to be forwarded to the outbox
after rewriting the headers? (I'm not quite sure of the implications
of actually appending the message to the outbox although something
similar worked for me in writing a crude forwarding filter for pine in
the early days...I don't remember the hoops we jumped through..just
that I had help..)  The result being evolution sends the email still,
and a copy gets dumped into sent-mail showing when and where you sent
it...leaving proof to ones self that they actually accomplished the
deed.

Oh, that would be too simple... ;-)

You can indeed copy the mail to Outbox. But how do you change the To:
header? And Cc: is preserved... That really can get nasty.

The problem is, how to change the recipient. And before that hack the
answer always was 'no, not possible'. You even don't have the option of
a 'pipe to shell script' Action...
