FWIW it *looks* like something else (probably etable) is causing memory
corruption.
That would be consistent with the previous crashes.
try running it in valgrind perhaps, if you have a reliable way to make
this happen?
No, sorry. It takes hours, sometimes days, to get a crash. Besides,
valgrind is way too heavy for my machine anyway. Best I can do is poke
around after the fact.
