I`m using MDK 9.1 with Ximian 1.2.2.
FYI: Mandrake has Evolution 1.2.4 available on the update servers, as
this version fixes a security bug. You probably wanna wait until 1.4
(Gnome2 port) comes out, as RC1 already had been released.
Is it possible to link Ximian and the fortune program (Wanda the fortune
teller) so that a different fortune will be chosen with each new message
?
Tools / Settings / Composer Preferences / Signatures
Hit 'Add Script' button, enter a name for that new signature and set
Script to '/usr/games/fortune'.
You can assign that signature to an account with
Tools / Settings / Mail Accounts / <account> Edit / Identity
Default Signature
or chose the 'fortune' signature in the composer when writing a mail.
Any time '/usr/games/fortune' gets called, it generates a random
fortune.
See 'man fortune' for more infos and options.
Running Mandrake 9.1 myself, don't know about wanda though. If fortune
isn't installed, run the following command as root:
# urpmi fortune
...guenther

(c=*++x); c&128 && (s+=h); if (!(h>>=1)||!t[s+h]){ putchar(t[s]);h=m;s=0; }}}
