Hmm, try this I guess:

killev
mv evolution/config.xmldb evolution/config.xmldb.save
evolution

I can't remember on 1.2 if you also have to kill the config daemon, or
killev will do it for you.  At worst, logout and login again if the
above doesn't result in it asking you to reconfigure your accounts.

Still, given you're running 1.2.x, all of the gconf warnings make little
or no sense.  It might not help at all.
