ok, well... likely the problem then is that gtk does not support that
image type, and hence it cannot display it inline :-)

Actually there is. :-)
I ran into Windows setting this as a mime type when I was working on a
web application for a client.
Google for it...

uh...there's no such thing as image/pjpeg
maybe that's the problem...

No, I mean image/pjpeg (this has the extension .jpeg) and evo gives it's
MIME type as above. It shows a preview thumbnail of the image, but when
clicking on it you are only presented with the option to save,
everything else is greyed out.
It's notable that any files with .jpg are viewable inline.

try running evolution from a terminal, it sounds like a packaging issue
wrt gdk-pixbuf or libjpeg.

I've just upgraded from 1.4.0 to 1.4.3, and some inline photos have

It seems that mime-type image/pjpeg isn't being recognised as a valid
format. The thumbnail shows in the box, but the only option is to save
the file, you can't view it inline. This worked in 1.4.0.
Is there a simple config change to rectify this, or should it be
reported as a bug?
