I presume you mean under the folder tree?

All i can think of is that the 'folder-metadata.xml' files in each
directory are somehow emptied or broken.

Any warnings when you start it from a terminal?


They should contain something like this (for each folder):

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<efolder>
 <type>mail</type
 <description>Some description</description>
</efolder>

(at least, for mail folders)
