[Evolution] palm sync.... goad error?

I have installed RedHat 8.0 with (bare X install), and installed
evolution with red-carpet. I also installed the conduits for syncing
with my palm.

with pilot-xfer on the console it syncs, so the link is working. When i
want to setup evolution i klik on tools->pilot setting...
Nothing happens, but the following error appears on the console
(evolution starten from a console):

** WARNING **: Could not get name servcie!

** ERROR **: file goad.c: line 660 (read_goad_serve_activate): assertion
failed: (name_service != CORBA_OBJECT_NIL)
aborting...


Anyone can give me a clue how to solve this..
