this means that your mail server rejected the user/passwd with a -ERR
response. At this point, Evolution re-asks for the password thinking
maybe the password on the server has changed.

Something I've noticed with Evolution 1.2.1 is that it forgets 
passwords about half the time. Sometimes it remembers your password 
when fetching mail, and then on the very next mailrun, the "Please 
enter password" window will pop up - and it will NOT accept your 
password, no matter how many times you enter and click OK. The only 
solution I've found to that problem is to killev and restart it, and 
that's definitely not a satisfactory solution.
