[Evolution] composing messages in Evolution 1.2+

Since upgrading to 1.2 (and most recently 1.2.2) I've been plagued with
a minor annoyance during message composition.  If I click on the To: or
Cc: button (to list and select contacts from the address book) I can
select as many as I like but I cannot scroll the box with the selected
contacts to view the list.  Has anyone else experienced this or am I
alone on this?
