Thank you for providing input as to what makes sense to you. I
appreciate it. (Really-- a great deal of my job is analyzing feedback
like this, and figuring out how to balance the conflicting needs of our
users. Your vote matters. :) 

By the way, the behavior was changed, as I said in my initial mail to
Etienne, (if you happen to have that one, you might find that it
contains a better explanation of the problem than this one) because we
were receiving complaints from people who were confused about the
interaction between that menu, and the settings dialog. 

We realized that we needed more time to figure out how people might use
this feature, before subjecting them to a broken implementation. (Keep
in mind that this list was a very recent addition to Evolution, by the
way. Since users lived without it for years, I was hoping that they
could do so a little longer. ;)
