[Evolution] right to left languages

Has anyone had luck with any of these?

On my evo 1.4.5 (mandrake 9.1) the words themselves
are inverted properly, but each line is is still
displayed from left to right (no big deal), and word
order is NOT inverted as it should be (MAJOR
headache).

So instead of the proper (right to left)
           lkj ihgf edcba
I see
edcba ihgf lkj
