[Evolution] Does Palm Sync work? w/Ctrl Ctr 2.0 and Evo 1.4.4

I have Evolution 1.4.4 and the latest Gpilotd stuff that comes from the 
Ximian RedCarpet update routine

Control center 2.0.1-8,  Redhat 8.0

the sync stops after 12 or 14 names

Of course Jpilot works like a charm (kudos to Judd) with USB and I even got 
it to work with  Avantgo and the SyncMal plugin.

Will this Evo/Gpilotd thing ever work or will it require a downgrade (of 
what modules)
or continued use of JPilot
