I'm trying to migrate from Mozilla 1.4 to Evolution 1.4.4 and am having
issues with authentication -- a minor issue. :P
Email is stored on a God-forsaken Exchange server that supports IMAP and
requires NTLM authentication. Fetchmail and Mozilla have no trouble
logging in, seeing folders, etc., but I cannot successfully connect with
Evolution due to authentication/login failures.
In the account definition I've set the authentication method for the IMAP
server to NTLM/SPA, and Evolution confirmed that this is the only other
supported means of authentication other than PASSWORD. The problem, I
think, is that our Exchange server requires the inclusion of the NT domain
at login time. Fetchmail expects "<user>@<domain>", while Mozilla seems
to expect "<domain>/<user>". I've tried these with Evolution and have
also tried "<domain>\<user>" and "<domain>\\<user>". They all result in
"Login failure" -- and, yes, I've made sure I'm typing the password right,
even setting it to something utterly basic.
So, in Evolution 1.4, how can I specify the username and NT domain for
logins into an IMAP-capable Exchange server?
Thanks!
