Thanks, I'm using gnome-pilot 2.0.10-0.ximian.7.1 with XD2 and SuSE8.1
so I guess that answers my question. It doesn't crash my system (memo
file), it just doesn't work. It goes through the synchronization process
without any error messages, it just doesn't do anything. I'll wait until
there is another gnome pilot update and try again. Thanks for cluing me
in.

Can anyone point me to documentation regarding conduit setup for
evolution. I have most of them working properly except for the memo
conduit. I do not understand what information is being requested under
Tools - pilot settings - conduits - memofile - settings.
Under this category settings: are the following
memos directory, ignore start, ignore end, directory mode 0700, files
mode 0600, and secret files mode. Can anyone point me to documentation
which explains how to respond and set these features?
If you are using a current gnome-pilot implementation (2.0.9 or 2.0.10
at least), then the memo conduit is terminally broken (it crashes the
whole process).
Nigel.
