How does one COMPLETELY remove evolution 1.4.4? I've tried just about
everything I know...and when I come to re-install...the RPM tells me
evolution is already installed
Well, re-installing seldom is the solution on GNU/Linux systems -- this
is so Windows...
What do you want to accomplish by re-installing?
Anyway, you will find these commands useful:
To remove packages, use 'rpm -e <packages>'. If you have an older
version of Evolution currently installed, updating packages (instead of
trying to install) will effectively do the same as re-installing:
# rpm -Uvh <packages>
Start with the evolution package and it will tell you about
dependencies.
This will in no case touch any user preferences.
