[Evolution] Determining from a Shell script whever evolution is running

Hello!

Well, I have found out how to deal with the problem of Russian in
replies. oaf-slay before evolution does the trick. Setting LC_TIME to
en_GB fixes the date format; setting LC_MESSAGES to also en_GB make
'wrote' appear in English as well, And the system still works fine with
Russian characters.

Now I wrote a shell script to start up evolution, and it includes
oaf-slay. But as it is, I am afraid to put it into the KDE menu. What if
Evo is already running when I select the item? oaf-slay would kill it...

So, I'd like to find out within the shell script whether Evolution is
already running. (If so, it should switch to its window or maybe just do
nothing).

Is there any way to find out?
