[Evolution] How to make Evo work on a dialup that drops

I sues ssl over imap, and every time the phone call drops (often on this
trip), evolution will not open a new connection.

It just sits there, even if I click on send/received.  Looking at
tcpdump, I see no packets going out.

Does Evo lock to the IP address?  Will it work with DHCP renewing the
address?  Can I cause it to reset without losing all of my open windows?
