Re: [Evolution] Sorting mailbox by sender is case sensitive

I thought gal used some g_utf8_collate type stuff to do the comparisons?

Don't bother filing a bug. The reason it gets sorted like that is
because we are just using a string comparison right now. We commented
out the smarter code for performance reasons.

Should sorting mailboxes by sender really be case sensitive?

I just noticed because I was poking through old email trying to look for
a specific message, and while working my way forward through stuff from
the sender, suddenly jumped back two months, because the capitalization
of that person's email address changed in March.

'Some Guy <someguy Domain COM>' is considered a different sender than
'Some Guy <someguy domain com>' for sorting purposes. I can understand
Evo not considering 'Nickname Guy <someguy domain com>' or 'Some F. Guy
<someguy domain com>' the same, but is there any good reason for this to
be case sensitive?

If not, I'll file a bug on it
