My guess is that your problem is not filtering at all, but rather
indexing. Try turning indexing off for your folders and you'll probably
get a vast speed improvement.
File->Folde->Properties and turn off Body Indexing.

hi :)
my evolution seems to have a strange problem: it becomes slower and
slower. when fetching mail the graphic display gets redrawn every x
minutes (x>3). during this delay evo just does nothing. it looks like it
would hang. but if i wait a moment and some more moments it fetches the
next mails and "hangs" again. i think this is a filter performance
thing. i created about 50 filters. most do just check for 1 or 2
elements and do one thing, like colorizing or moving. but i also created
a spam-filter which will check for about 40 conditions. when filtering
manually it takes more than 20 seconds to filter just this single mail
when it matches to the spam-filter. is this a known problem? i currently
use evo 1.0.1.
bye :)
