[Evolution] imap folder selection?

i set evolution for imap, and i'm still waiting for it to recover.  it's 
been almost an hour, and it's still working hard (1ghz/256mb).  yes, i have 
the kde source tree under my personal directory, twice.  it seems to be 
indexing the whole thing.  i was expecting to choose a directory via some 
command on the tools menu i think, can't look right now it's still busy, 
but, looks like it wants to know my whole world intimately before letting 
me choose?  (redhat 7.2 uw imap)

mind you i don't really want imap, i'm just trying to explore my options 
for getting all my old eudora mail into evolution somehow other than 1 file 
at a time.
